Paturia-Daulatdia ferry service resumes after 7 hrs

The ferry services on Paturia-Daulatia river route resumed on Monday morning after seven hours of disruption due to heavy fog.

Md Zillur Rahman, Aricha office DGM of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), said the authority resumed the ferry services from 9:30 am.

Earlier, dense fog forced the suspension of ferry services on the route.

As a result, many vehicles were seen stranded on the roads adjacent to the Paturia and Daulatdia ferry terminals waiting to cross the Padma river, he said.
