Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will not be held this year. The candidates of this year's HSC and equivalent examinations will be evaluated in a different way.
"The average of the results of JSC and SSC examinations will be considered in this evaluation process," she said during a press brief through an online platform at 1pm on Wednesday (October 7).
“If the exams are taken following all the health protocols of the novel coronavirus or Covid-19, the number of exam centres need to be doubled. This decision has been taken considering all the aspects,” Dipu Moni said.
The evaluation of the candidates will be published by December this year, the minister hoped.
About 13 lakh students are expected to appear at the exams that were scheduled to start from April 1.
