Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said that the examinations of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) will not be held this year. The students will be promoted to the next class through a terminal examination.

The Minister said this after a tree-planting programme on the occasion of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 75th birthday at Gonobhabon High School on Tuesday (September 28).

She said, “Students need to acquire knowledge without just running after GPA-5. Real knowledge must be acquired. We have to build ourselves for the country and society. Everyone should work together for the 4th industrial revolution.”

Dipu Moni said, “The piloting of the revised curriculum will continue from next year (2022) and its implementation will start from 2023. The Prime Minister has approved the new curriculum. It will be implemented at all levels from 2025.”

She said, “Today is the 75th birthday of our Prime Minister. She has always worked for the development of education. To commemorate her birthday, we will hold tree planting programmes with students across the country.”
