Rabindra University students confine 22 teachers, officers

Protesting students of Rabindra University in Sirajganj have confined 22 teachers and officials at the academic building from Sunday afternoon.
The students are demanding permanently sacking of Farhana Yeasmin, the teacher who was suspended for forcefully cutting the hair of 14 students last month.
Laila Ferdous Himel, one of the teachers and chairman of the Rabindra Studies Department, confirmed the news.
Fourteen teachers and eight officials have been kept confined on the building premises from around 4.00 pm on Sunday.
