Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug bust on a cruise ship.
Aryan who was first detained was later arrested despite reports claiming he had no narcotics on him. Now as per reports, Aryan, who has been housed at the Arthur Road jail is having a tough time adapting to conditions in jail and its food.
For the unversed, Aryan and others are lodged in Mumbai's Arthur Road jail are there in connection with the alleged seizure of drugs from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast by the Narcotics Control Bureau.
According to a report, Aryan has not been having jail food and instead depends on biscuits taken from the jail canteen.
The report further states that SRK's son had taken with him 12 bottles of water and most of them are nearing the end.
Aryan Khan's bail plea was adjourned till today afternoon, October 14.
The report further adds that Aryan will not be allowed home-cooked meals until the court grants permission for it and he, along with the other high-profile accused arrested will have to eat the same food that is served to other inmates.
Arthur Road jail prison authorities serve sheera-poha to inmates for breakfast, while lunch and dinner unclude chapati, sabzi, dal and rice.
The NCB had on October 2 busted an alleged drugs party on the Cordelia Cruise ship which was on its way from Mumbai to Goa.
The team had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of Hashish, 22 pills of MDMA, 5mg of MD and 6 grams of charas.
As per latest reports, the NCB, in its reply filed at the special court said its investigation had revealed that the 23-year-old Khan used to procure drugs from Merchant, his close friend, who was also arrested after the raid on the cruise ship.
