‘All expatriates stuck in Bangladesh can return Saudi Arabia’

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said all expatriates stranded in Bangladesh due to coronavirus after coming from Saudi Arabia on leave will be able to return to the country.
The Minister said this after attending the opening programme of “Sugandha”, a new complex of Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Friday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the complex joining online.
AK Abdul Momen said, “Even if someone’s visa expires, if they have Iqama, they will be given visas again. Those who have Iqamas, visas, have come to the country on holiday, all of them can go to Saudi Arabia. There will be no complications. For this we are maintaining contacts with the Saudi Arabia authorities.”
Over demonstration for tickets, he said, “Though the matter is very unfortunate. But those who have already taken the token, they will go earlier. All expatriates will go in phases. No reason to be worried.”
