Bangladeshi coriander seeds going to space Dec 2

Coriander seeds grown in Bangladesh are going to the space for research purposes on December 2. 

The coriander seeds were taken first to the USA on a cargo plane via Japan in mid-October.

Mizanul Chowdhury, Chief of Connection Science of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in USA, said coriander seeds grown in Bangladesh are going to be used for space research purposes for the first time in country’s history. This is a big news item for Bangladesh.

“On December 2, researchers will start journey towards space with coriander seeds,” he added.

The astronauts will conduct research on the seeds. Apart from Bangladesh, coriander seeds are being taken from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and UAE for space research.
