‘3cr corona vaccine doses to be provided free of cost’

Bangladesh will buy 3 crore doses of coronavirus vaccine. Those vaccines will be distributed among people free of cost following the policy of World Health Organization (WHO).

The decision was taken at a meeting held virtually with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Monday (November 30).

After the meeting, cabinet division secretary Dr Khandakar Anwarul Islam said, finance ministry already has allotted Tk735.77 crore to buy vaccine doses.

In reply to a question, the secretary said, Bangladesh government will buy the vaccine and will distribute it free of cost.

Any kinds of irregularities and bias move centering coronavirus distribution will be controlled strictly, he added.
