Titas disconnects 1,75,000 illegal gas lines

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd disconnected about 1,75,000 illegal gas lines in last six months.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid disclosed this in a Facebook status on Thursday.
The disconnected lines will be around 220.63 kilometers, and about 164 drives were conducted during that time, he said.
Due to outstanding bills and illegal connections, Titas authorities conducted the drives in various places.
Titas disconnected the lines through drives conducted by the mobile courts. Apart from disconnecting illegal lines, the mobile courts realised huge bills which were stalled for years, he also said.
