Ban on GM Quader to participate in party activities goes

The High Court (HC) has scrapped a lower court order that asked Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman GM Quader to refrain from party activities.

A HC bench of Justice Sheikh Abdul Awal scrapped the order on Tuesday.

The bench passed the order following a revision petition filed by GM Quader challenging the lower court order.

His lawyer Sheikh Muhammed Serajul Islam said now there is no legal bar for GM Quader to perform responsibilities of Jatiya Party.

On October 31, Judge Masudul Haque of Dhaka Joint District Judge Court gave an order that asked him to refrain from party activities.
