SL Tour: 18 national cricketers test negative for coronavirus

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is moving ahead with its plan for the national cricket team’s tour of Sri Lanka.

BCB found all 18 cricketers negative for coronavirus tested on Friday (September 18) ahead of the tour.

Earlier, national team opener Saif Hassan had tested positive for the deadly virus. The right-arm batsman found positive in tests twice.

The cricketers who were found negative this time will be kept at isolation in Hotel Sonargaon in the capital. More cricketers will be tested for the virus. Of them, who will be found negative would be kept at isolation in the hotel.

Cricketers who will be found negative in tests will start practice at Mirpur stadium from September 20. The cricketers will not be able to stay anywhere other than the ground and hotel.
