6 killed in Panchagarh road crash

Panchagarh Correspondent: At least six people were killed and two other injured as a truck ran over an auto-rickshaw  in district`s Charmile area around 11.00am on Friday.0

According to sources, a Tentulia-bound bus ran over a Panchagarh-bound auto-rickshaw on Panchagarh-Tentulia highway, leaving six dead on the spot.

The deceased are three men, two women and one child, and four were members of a family.

The deceased were identified as Amirul Islam (36), son of Joinuddin at Jamuribari village under Satmera union, his wife Jesmin Akhter (25), daughter Orpi (6), aunty Nargis Akhter (35), auto-rickshaw driver Mostafizur Rahman (30) and Monir, a class ten student.

Officer-In-Charge of Panchagarh Thana Mominul Islam confirmed it.

The dead bodies have been sent to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
