HC stays pry teachers’ recruitment in 14 districts

The High Court (HC) on Monday stayed the appointment of assistant primary teachers for six months for breaching the primary school teacher recruitment rules in 14 districts.

The HC bench headed by Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif passed the order following a writ petition filed by 47 people challenging the legality of appointment.

Lawyer Md Samad Uddin appeared for the petitioners in the court.

The districts are Patuakhali, Madaripur, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Chapainawabganj, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Noakhali, Jashore, Satkhira, Tangail and Thakurgaon.
