Committee formed to interrogate suspected cocaine importers

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Chittagong Metropolitan of Police (CMP) has formed a 10-member committee to interrogate the suspected persons who were involved in the liquid cocaine import.
Members of the committee include Deputy Commissioner (Detective) Kusum Dewan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Detective) SM Tanvir Arafat, Assistant Commissioner (Detective) Kamruzzaman, AC (Bandar) Jahangir Alam, Bandar Thana OC Mohiuddin Selim and Akbar Shah Thana OC Sudip Kumar Dash.
Earlier on Friday night, CMP Commissioner Abdul Jalal Mondal directed to a committee comprising skilled police officers.
About 185 litres of liquid cocaine was found in a sealed container seized by Customs Intelligence from Chittagong port last week. The liquid cocaine was imported in the name of sunflower oil.
Later police arrested a Golam Mostafa Sohel for alleged involvement in importing liquid cocaine with edible oil through Chittagong port.
