3 still missing over Gazipur boiler blast

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: At least three people have still remained missing in connection with a boiler explosion at a garment factory in Joydebpur upazila of Gazipur that took place on Monday evening.

Sources at the control rooms installed by the district administration in front of the factory confirmed the news.

The persons who remained missing are-- factory's mechanical feeder Md Nazrul Islam, son of late Abdul Wahed from Gaibandha, electrician Ershad Ullah, son of Mahmudul Haque from Feni and Masud Rana, son of Kashem Farazi from Patuakhali. Masud Rana used to work at the maintenance department of the factory.

At least 10 people were killed and 50 others injured in a boiler explosion at a garment factory in Joydebpur upazila of Gazipur on Monday evening.

The explosion took place at Multi Fabs Ltd in Nayapara area in the upazila around 7:15pm.
