Youth arrested with fake notes in Hilly

Staff Correspondent, Rangpur: Police arrested a youth along with fake currency from the Hilly border area of Dinajpur on Wednesday morning.

The arrestee was identified as Rasel Mia, 24, son of   Abdul Mannan of Delduar village under Tangail Sadar upazila.

However, four of his friends accompanied with Rasel managed to escape the arrest.

Abdus Sabur, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hakimpur Police Station, said Rasel was held as a suspect conducting a drive at one Sultan Mia's house of Dakshin Basudevpur village of Hilly border area.   Later, fake notes of Tk 500 worth Tk 17,500 was seized from his bag.
