Teacher dies of coronavirus symptoms in Tangail

Md Rezaur Rahman, a retired teacher, has died of coronavirus symptoms at Delduar in Tangail.

He died at Tangail General Hospital on Monday midnight (August 2). He was 85 years old.

Rezaur Rahman's son Professor Shafiur Rahman, chairman of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rajshahi University, confirmed the death  on Tuesday (August 3).

Shafiur Rahman said that since the day of Eid-ul-Azha, his father had symptoms like fever, cold and cough. He was recently admitted to Tangail General Hospital. He died at the hospital last night. For a long time, he was suffering from diabetes, kidney and heart diseases.

He also said his uncle Md Fazlur Rahman also died of coronavirus symptoms last evening.

Md. Rezaur Rahman was the son of late Tajek Ali at Bishnapur village under Pathrail union of Delduar upazila.

He was a teacher at Pathrail Bahumukhi High School. He is survived by two sons, three daughters, a wife and a host of relatives.
