2 petrol pumps fined Tk2 lakh for short-selling customers

The directorate of National Consumers' Right Protection has fined two petrol pumps in Manikganj a total of Tk 2 lakh after it found forgery in fuel their dispensers.
A mobile court of BSTI led by Asaduzzaman Rumel, Assistant Director of Directorate of National Consumers' Right Protection, on Monday (September 20) slapped the fine on two pumps. Meanwhile, the authority sealed the pumps.
A fine of Tk1 lakh was issued to Dhaleshwari Feeling Station at Manikganj for providing 344 ml less oil per 5 litres. Besides, a fine of Tk1 lakh was issued to Milon Feeling Station in Mitra area of the district for providing 160 ml less patrol per liter.
Such kind of drive will continue, he added.
