Councillor shot in Cumilla

Syed Md. Sohel, a ward councillor (no-17) of Cumilla City Corporation and president of ward unit of Awami League, was shot by miscreants on Monday afternoon.

Miscreants entered his office around 4.00pm and shot him, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali Model Thana Anwarul Azim confirmed the matter.
