Teesta flowing above danger level again

The water level of the Teesta River is flowing over the danger line due to heavy rainfall and hill slopes coming down from the upstream.

According to officials of the Water Development Board (WDB), the river was flowing 7cm above the danger level around 3pm and 4cm around 9pm on Wednesday at Dalia Point in Nilphamari.

It is learned that the water of the Teesta River has entered the lower parts of the river banks, causing floods in the area and resulting in the stranding of many families.
