BCL leader hacked dead in Cox’s Bazar

A leader of Bangladesh Chhattro League (BCL) of Cox’s Bazar has been hacked to death.

He was known as Faisal Uddin, 25, joint general secretary of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila BCL unit and son of late Lal Mohammad of Dakshin Dailpara of the area. 

Faisal was chopped at Dailpara area of Khurushkul under Sadar upzila around 6:30pm on Sunday (July 3) while he was returning from a party programme.

Sheikh Munir-Ul Gias, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Police Station, confirmed the matter.

Khurushkul Union Awami League general secretary and Sadar Awami League joint convener Jasim Uddin also confirmed the matter.

He said, “The relatives of Nurul Huda, a college student who was killed, had brutally hacked Faisal to death on suspicion of involvement in Nurul Huda murder.”
