Panchagarh boat capsize: Death toll rises to 69

Another dead body was recovered on Wednesday (September 24), the fourth day of boat capsize in Panchagarh’s Korotoa River, rising the death toll to 69.

Three more people have still remained missing over the incident.

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Dipankar Roy, also head of a five-member probe body, confirmed the news.

A boat carrying 60-70 passengers, including women and children, sank in the middle of the river while heading towards Badheshwar Temple on the occasion of Mayalaya on Sunday (September 25) noon.
