SUST expels 7 students over sexual harassment

The authorities of the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) has expelled seven students for allegedly sexual harassment. Of them, two students were expelled for two years while five for one year.
Confirming the matter on Wednesday (September 28), Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed said, “They will not be able to enter the campus and hall until the expulsion order is in force.”
The expelled students for two years were known as Ariful Islam and Zayed Iqbal Tanim of Forestry and Environmental Science Department for session 2016-17
The students who were expelled for one year are- Suman Das, a student of Public Administration Department for 2016-17 session, Syed Mustaqeem Saqib, a student of Mechanical Engineering Department for 2019-20 session, Imam Hossain Imran, Rifat Hossain and Bishal Ali of Forestry and Environmental Science Department of 2016-17 session.
