Shutdown in educational institutions extended again

The government has extended the ongoing shutdown in the country’s schools, colleges and other educational institutions (except Qawmi madrasa) till January 30.

M A Khayer, Information Officer of the Ministry of Education, confirmed the matter on Friday (January 15).

Mentionable, after detecting the first coronavirus infected patient in Bangladesh on March 8 last year, the educational institution was declared closed on March 17 across the country. The shutdown was later extended in a few steps. The last shutdown was extended till January 16, 2021. The leave of the educational institution was again extended till January 30.
