Public gatherings banned on CU campus

Chattogram University (CU) authority has banned all public gatherings and ceremonies on its campus due to increasing Covid-19 cases.
Acting Registrar of the university Professor SM Monirul Hasan confirmed the news.
An emergency notification signed by Professor SM Monirul Hasan said Covid-19 infections have increased on the campus. As a result, the decision was taken for the interest of the safety of teachers, students, officials, employees, and their family members. However, all classes and examinations and official work of the university will continue.
Any rally, cultural event, concluding rap day, and any other public gathering have been prohibited on the campus without prior permission. The instruction will be effective from January 18.
Teachers, students, officers and employees have been requested to wear masks and follow the hygiene rules, according to the notification.
