Govt mulls 2-day weekly holiday in educational institutions

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that the government is planning to introduce two-day weekly holiday in educational institutions across the country to save electricity.

The minister said this while addressing a seminal at Tejgaon in the capital on Friday (August 12).

The government has announced a two-day weekly holiday in all educational institutions from the next year.

She said, we are thinking about whether it will be implemented from now to save electricity. Details will be announced soon in this regard.

Dipu Moni also said that we have no shortage of students due to Covid-19. Rather, it has helped us. They (students) have developed self-learning skills.
