Staff Correspondent: Students of Dhaka's College of Home Economics will hold a 'grand rally' on Thursday.
The rally will be held at the campus on Thursday morning 11:00am.
Sabrin Sultana Sumi Nur, coordinator of the movement said, "We have just only one demand. Home Economics College should be a full-fledged institute under Dhaka University."
"We will peacefully continue our movements until our demands are met. As a part of this movement we blocked Nilkhet intersection. Tomorrow we will hold a rally in our campus," she said.
On March 9, first year students of the college boycotted classes and called an indefinite strike demanding to declare the college an institution under the Dhaka University.
Earlier on October 4 last year, Home Economics College students blocked the New Market road placing the demand for declaring it an institution under the Dhaka University.
On October 21, students of the college submitted a memorandum to the principal of the college, vice-chancellor and dean of Faculty of Biology of the university and the education minister to press home their demand.
