Youth arrested for allegedly raping housewife in Tangail

A youth named Siam Hassan, 20, has been arrested for allegedly raping a housewife at Sakhipur in Tangail.

Police arrested him conducting a drive on Wednesday (April 21) afternoon.

The victim’s father filed a case in this connection in the afternoon.

According to locals and police, the victims along with her husband has been living with her husband at Sagordighi village of Ghatail in Tangail. Her friend Joy took her to Sakhipur by motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon. There, Joy and two of his friends raped her in turns in the night. Early in the morning, she admitted to Tangail General Hospital as fell sick.

Sakhipur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AHM Lutful Kabir confirmed about the case.
