Politics banned for Qawmi madrasa teachers, students

Politics has been banned for teachers and students of Qawmi madrasa across the country.

The highest policy-making board of the country’s Qawmi Madrasa ‘Al-Hayatul Ulaya Lil Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh’ took the decision in a meeting of its standing committee on Sunday (April 25).

A press statement, singed by Asiur Rahman, Office Secretary of Qawmi Madrasa Board, revealed the development.

According to the press statement, a meeting of the standing committee of the board was held at Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom Madania Madrasa at Jatrabari in the capital on Sunday (April 25). It was presided over by Allama Mahmudul Hasan, Chairman of Al-Hayatul Ulaya Lil Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh.

A number of decisions have been taken at the meeting to protect the traditional education system from the instability prevailing in the Qawmi arena of the country and to create a conducive environment for the conduct of various Islamic activities under normal conditions while maintaining the dignity of Islamic scholars.

The meeting took a decision that the students and teachers of Qawmi Madrasa will be free from all forms of conventional politics.
