NTRCA to take advice from Deputy Minister of Education: Candidates want quick results

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday (June 28) scraped the High Court (HC) order that recommended for appointment of 2,500 writ petitioners. So, as per the law, there is no bar for the Non-Government Teacher Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) to appoint the teachers.

NTRCA wants to publish results within a day or two. NTRCA officials held a meeting with Education Secretary Mahbub Hossain on Monday (June 28) afternoon to decide what to do about it. At this time, the education secretary has given some directions.

A senior NTRCA official said, “The Secretary has given us some necessary directions. He also suggested to talk with Deputy Minister of Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel in this regard. The results will be released on the advice of the deputy minister.”

He said the decision on the results of the 54,000 teacher recruitment recommendations would be announced on Tuesday (June 29) afternoon.

On Monday (June 28) morning, the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain dismissed the contempt of court rule issued against NTRCA.

When asked, NTRCA Secretary Dr A T M Mahbub Ul Karim told risingbd that the much-desired verdict has come in our favor. We need to talk to Teletalk. Hopefully, we will be able to release the results in a day or two.”
