Dhaka Central Jail inmate dies at DMCH

An inmate of Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj died on Wednesday (April 24) while he was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The deceased was known as Md Asaduzzaman Sohel Bepari, 38, son of Abdul Awal Bepari.

Prison guard Md Sujon said Asaduzzaman fell sick at Dhaka Central Jail this noon.

Later, he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment but the doctor on duty declared him dead around 2pm.

Confirming the matter, DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge Md Bachchu Mia said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
