No shops will remain open after 5pm in Khulna

With the help of the armed forces and other law-enforcement agencies, Khulna district administration has intensified restrictions on movements and public gatherings to contain the spread of coronavirus in the region.

A mass circular, signed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Helal Hossain, has been issued in this regard.

The decision came into effect from April 5.

All shops, kitchen markets will remain closed after 5.00pm every day until further notice in the district and metropolis of Khulna, the circular read.

Medicine stores, hospitals and clinics will remain open while the city’s Rupsa and evening kitchen market (Sandhya Bazar) will remain open till 9.00pm, it added.

DC Md. Helal Hossain asked the people not to gather in groups.
