Police return Tk 4 lakh to owner

Police have recovered and returned Tk 4 lakh to a person who left it in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Gazipur.
The owner of the money was known as Mozammel Haque, 40, resident of Mulgaon village under Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur.
Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) of AKM Mizanul Haque revealed the matter to the reporters on Monday (January 18) noon.
Shahidul Islam Mollah, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Kaliganj Police Station, said, “Mozammel Haque withdrew Tk 4 lakh from Dutch-Bangla Bank, Kaliganj Branch, on Sunday (January 17) noon. Later, he took a CNG-run auto-rickshaw to go to Dhaka. On the way, he got down from the auto-rickshaw at Ulukhola, leaving his bag filled with money mistakenly. On the day, he lodged a complaint in this connection with Kalinganj Police Station. Police conducted drive with associating Mozammel and recovered the money in the evening.”
Thanking police, Mozammel Haque acknowledged over getting the money back.
