Three Rohingya robbers killed in shooting with RAB in Teknaf

Three Rohingya robbers including ringleader Jocky, chief of Jocky group, have been killed in a shooting with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

The two-hour-long shooting took place at Shalbagan hill track area in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday (February 23) afternoon.

Deputy captain major Mehedi Hassan of RAB-15 confirmed the matter to risingbd.

A huge amount of bullets and arms were recovered from the spot. They were involved in robbery, human trafficking and Yaba smuggling simultaneously, he added.

He further said two members of the elite force also sustained injuries during the battle. They were being given treatment at Teknaf Health Complex.

According to RAB, Jocky was sued in more than 20 cases including murder, rape, abduction and drugs.
