‘War criminals should be eliminated from soil of Bengal forever’

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said that war criminals Razakar, Al Badr, Al Shams and those who could not accept Bangladesh should be exterminated from the soil of Bengal forever.

The mayor said this while paying homage to the martyred intellectuals by laying a wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur here in Dhaka on Thursday (December 14).

The mayor said that after 40 years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina initiated the trial of war criminals in 2010 and that process is still ongoing. Verdicts awarding death sentence to many have been executed. On this day, this will be our conviction— all the war criminals, including Razakars, Al Badr, Al Shams, and those who could not accept Bangladesh, should be uprooted from the soil of Bengal forever.
